Peasant-Style Spaghetti

1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 pound tomatoes -- peeled & chopped
1 tablespoon oil
5 ounces prosciutto -- minced
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground oregano
12 ounces spaghetti -- cooked & drained
chopped parsley
grated parmesan cheese


Saute garlic and tomatoes in hot oil in skillet until tender, about 5 minutes. Add prosciutto, pepper and oregano. Reduce heat and simmer until ingredients are blended, about 2 to 3 minutes. Toss with spaghetti and sprinkle with parsley. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
