Italian Cheese Balls

1 lb. ricotta cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. grated cheese
1/2 c. bread crumbs (Italian flavored)
Black pepper
Garlic powder to taste
Spaghetti sauce


Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Add more crumbs if needed. When mixture leaves sides of bowl clean, shape into balls same as meatballs. Place balls on cookie sheet and let them set overnight in refrigerator. Place in baking dish with small amount oil on bottom. Do not CROWD them. Pour sauce over to almost cover. Cover with foil and bake in 325 degree oven for 40 minutes (sauce should bubble). Remove foil - cook for 15 minutes. Let set few minutes before serving. Can be frozen.
