Brunch Puff

8 to 12 slices bacon
6 slices bread, quartered
8 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 onion, chopped
8 oz. Swiss cheese, sliced
4 c. milk
1 tsp. pepper


Fry bacon until crisp, drain and crumble. Saute onion in bacon drippings, drain. In 9 x 13 inch pan, layer half of quartered bread slices. Top with half of bacon and onion. Top with half of Swiss cheese slices. Repeat layers. Beat eggs, add milk, salt and pepper. Pour egg mixture over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, uncovered. Check it so it doesn't dry out.
