Brunch

1 c. grated onion (optional)
1/2 loaf sour dough or French bread
1 dozen eggs
1 c. milk
1 lb. ground sausage, brown and drain
1 lb. grated cheddar cheese
1 lb. grated Monterey Jack cheese
Salt and pepper to taste


Grease a 9 by 13 inch pan. Cube bread into 1/2 inch pieces, removing crust. Layer bread on bottom of pan. Mix eggs, milk, onion and seasoning. Pour egg mixture over bread. Add sausage and cheeses on top. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
