1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 lb. uncooked spaghetti, cook according to pkg. directions
1 lg. can stewed tomatoes, drained
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese


Cook meat and onion; drain grease. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; stir. Transfer to bottom large casserole dish. Layer cooked and drained spaghetti. Spoon soup over tomatoes. Cover with cheese. Bake uncovered 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cover 1/2 way through if cheese begins to dry out. Variations: Use Italian or Mexican seasoning and use different types of cheese such as mozzarella or Monterey Jack.
