Chiles Relleno Puffs

1/4 c Butter; room temperature
1 1/4 c Flour
2 c Monterey Jack cheese; shredded
1/2 c Green chili pepper, roasted, peeled, seeded; diced -or- 1 cn (4 oz) diced green chilies; drained
1/8 ts Garlic powder
2 tb Parmesan cheese


Combine butter and flour in a food processor bowl or blender container. Process until well mixed. Add Monterey Jack cheese, chilies and garlic powder. Process until well mixed. Form dough into 3/4" balls; roll in Parmesan cheese. Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake in a 375 oven about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. Makes 36.

To make ahead, form dough into balls; place on a baking sheet & freeze until firm. Place in freezer bag. Store up to 2 weeks. To bake, place on a greased baking sheet. Bake in 375 oven for 18 to 20 minutes.
